The Wedding is an exploration into the rite of passage, memory and devotion. While folding the celestial into the material, two lovers adorn themselves with silk and cloth creating a second skin.
The creator encourages individuals to wear the drapery and immerse themselves in this seraphic voyage. Both clothing and paintings create a silent worship within a temple of memory.
Holly Fowler is a British artist based between Stockholm and Croatia. She studied painting at St. Martin's College in London where she discovered her unique language of painting. Using silk to create surreal dreamscapes, Fowler investigates our relationship with fantasy, memory, storytelling and social codes.
